A sentry box on Princes Street in Edinburgh will be transformed into the world's smallest whisky bar

Edinburgh will soon be home to "the world's smallest whisky bar", with bottlers Cask 88 to convert an old sentry box on Princes Street into a whisky bar. This one-of-a-kind bar is located on the corner of Hope Street and Shandwick Place, just outside the Johnnie Walker Whisky Experience.

A spokesperson for Cask 88 told Edinburgh Live this week; "Cask 88 is always happy to do something fun and our latest project is turning a small box in Edinburgh into a tiny whisky bar! The store can only accommodate one guest and one bartender at a time. The size of the store is not everything, and we hope that visitors who come to drink will be satisfied with our bar."

The bar, which is still in preparations, will welcome its first customer on August 5, and will be open every day from 12 to 7 during the Fringe Festival.
